SINGULAR at MAGIC Las Vegas 2026: A Look Back at Our U.S. Trade Show Experience

SINGULAR at MAGIC Las Vegas 2026: A Look Back at Our U.S. Trade Show Experience

Event Details:

August 10-12, 2026 | MAGIC SOURCING 88212/88213

In August of this year, we took SINGULAR’s latest footwear samples to MAGIC Las Vegas in the U.S.

For us, this exhibition was not simply about putting shoes on a display table. It was an opportunity for us to meet people working in the footwear and fashion business, introduce what we have been developing, and have direct conversations with brands and buyers about the products they are looking for.

After returning from the show, we wanted to record some of those moments and what we learned from the experience.

Bringing Our Latest Women's Footwear Samples to Las Vegas

For this exhibition, we brought a selection of our latest women's footwear samples, with a focus on styles suitable for fast-fashion and commercial footwear collections.

Preparing for an overseas exhibition is quite different from preparing samples for a normal customer meeting. The samples have to travel a long way, and we need to think carefully about which styles are worth bringing with us.

We selected shoes that could show different directions in terms of materials, silhouettes and construction. More importantly, we wanted the collection to give visitors an idea of the kind of footwear SINGULAR can develop rather than simply showing a fixed catalogue of products.

That distinction became quite clear once the show started.

People would often pick up a shoe, look at the material or construction, and then start asking questions about how the style could be changed for their own collection.

That was exactly the kind of conversation we hoped to have.

From a Shoe Sample to a Development Conversation

One thing we noticed during the exhibition was that discussions rarely stayed limited to the sample itself.

A buyer might start by asking about one particular style. Then the conversation would move to the material, the sole, the target price, the intended market or whether a similar design could be developed with a different look.

These conversations are familiar to us because they are also part of our daily footwear development work.

A customer does not always come to a manufacturer with a complete product specification. Sometimes there is a reference shoe. Sometimes there are a few images. Sometimes there is only an idea for a new collection.

From there, the development team needs to work through the practical details and turn that idea into something that can actually be sampled and produced.

Meeting customers face to face made these conversations much easier.

Instead of explaining everything through emails and product images, we could look at the same shoe, discuss the details directly and understand much more quickly what the customer was trying to achieve.

Meeting Customers Face to Face

For SINGULAR, one of the most valuable parts of the MAGIC experience was simply having time to talk with people in person.

Some visitors were interested in particular footwear styles. Others wanted to understand more about our OEM and ODM capabilities or how we work with brands during product development.

We also had conversations about upcoming collections, different target markets and the challenges brands face when developing new footwear.

These discussions were useful for us as well. Working with overseas customers remotely gives us access to projects from different markets, but a face-to-face conversation can reveal things that are difficult to understand from a form or email.

You can see which samples attract someone's attention. You can hear how they describe the product in their own words. You can also ask follow-up questions immediately instead of waiting for several rounds of messages. For a footwear development company, those details matter.

More Than Showing Finished Shoes

A trade show also gave us an opportunity to explain what happens behind the samples on the table.

SINGULAR provides footwear OEM and ODM services covering product development, sampling, manufacturing, quality control and shipment coordination.

But rather than simply telling visitors that we can provide these services, we preferred to talk about actual development situations.

For example, a brand may already have a design but need help turning it into a workable sample. Another customer may have a reference style and want to develop something with a different material, construction or commercial direction.

The starting point can be different for every project. What remains important is the communication between the customer and the development team throughout the process.

The finished sample may be what people see at a trade show, but there is usually a lot of work behind it — material selection, pattern development, fitting, construction, revisions and consideration of how the product will eventually move into production.

That is the part of footwear development we wanted people to understand when they visited our booth.

What We Took Away from MAGIC

After the exhibition, one of our biggest takeaways was how valuable direct product conversations can be.

Digital communication has made international business much easier. We can send photos, videos, specifications and samples across borders without needing to meet in person.

But footwear is still a physical product. When two people are standing in front of the same shoe, it is much easier to discuss details. A conversation that starts with “Can you make this?” can quickly become a discussion about changing the material, adjusting the shape, developing another version or finding a more suitable construction.

Those are often the conversations that lead to useful development projects.

The exhibition also gave us a better sense of what different buyers and brands are looking for in the U.S. market. For us, that market feedback is valuable beyond the exhibition itself. It gives our development team another reference when we work on future styles.

Looking Forward After the Show

MAGIC Las Vegas was only one stop in our ongoing work with international footwear brands.

For us, the real value of participating in a trade show is not measured only by what happens during those few days. Some conversations continue after the exhibition, when a customer sends a reference image, asks about a new style or starts discussing a potential development project.

That is where the trade show experience connects back to our everyday work.

We were glad to bring SINGULAR’s latest women's footwear samples to Las Vegas, meet customers face to face and introduce more people to our approach to footwear development and OEM/ODM production.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, looked through our samples and took the time to talk with us.

We look forward to continuing those conversations — and turning more of those ideas into footwear.
